Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro is seeking talks with US President Barack Obama in a bid to resolve tensions between the two nations.
Mr Maduro has accused the US and media organisations of plotting to overthrow his government and revoked accreditation from CNN reporters yesterday.
The country is currently going through a deep crisis with eight dead in recent anti-government street protests.
The accreditation of CNN’s Caracas reporter, Osmary Hernandez, was revoked along with two other CNN journalists who were in Venezuela to cover opposition marches, which the government claims are part of a coup attempt.
